Cadwallader Colden's unpublished farm journal(Rosenbach Museum & Library, Philadelphia, PA 19103) is described by some scholars as containing a detailed account of laying out his garden. However, WorldCat describes the journal as a primarily agricultural document: "Records dates and quantity of crops planted, attempts to grow new crops, grafting, animal breeding, names and rate of pay of workmen, prices obtained for crops, and other farm matters. Records the success or failure of each experimental undertaking." Worth a look? [RA 6/9/2015]
