Description of the plate given on page 6 of the text: “A little Building intended for Retirement, or for a Study, to be placed in some agreeable Part of a Park or Garden, the middle Part is 34 Feet in Front and 40 Feet in Depth, and the 2 Scaline Buildings 16 Feet 6 Inches each in Front, and 34 Feet deep.—The Principal or Ground Floor is 16 Feet 6 Inches high, and the Attick 10 Feet, the opposite Front to that in the Plate is proposed to be without Dress or Ornament, and a Door under the Stairs the common Communication. The whole Expence of this Building will amount to 1089l.”
