These essays first appeared in the original publication Keywords in American Landscape Design (Yale University Press, 2010) of which this site is an extension. Meanwhile, the investigation into the history of Early American Landscape Design continued, and the site has been enriched with additional material, among which individual essays for Places and for People. These early essays remain a fundamental contribution to the project and offer insights and guidance on how to navigate its content.
