These essays first appeared in the original publication [https://yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300101744/keywords-american-landscape-design ''Keywords in American Landscape Design'' (Yale University Press, 2010)] by which this site originated. Meanwhile, the investigation into the history of early American landscape design continued, and by using the advantage of the digital platform, the initial project has been implemented with additional material, among which individual pages dedicated to [[:Category:People|People]] and to [[:Category:Places|Places]], which came to integrate the [[:Category:Keywords]] section. These introductory essays remain a fundamental contribution to the project and offer insights and guidance on how to navigate its content.
