These essays first appeared in the original publication [https://yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300101744/keywords-american-landscape-design ''Keywords in American Landscape Design'' (Yale University Press, 2010)] from which this site originated. Meanwhile, the investigation into the history of early American landscape design continued, and by using the advantage of the digital platform, the initial project was implemented by adding individual pages dedicated to [[:Category:People|People]] and to [[:Category:Places|Places]], which came to integrate the [[:Category:Keywords|Keywords]] section. These introductory essays remain a fundamental contribution to the project and offer insights and guidance on how to navigate its content.
