As of now, they have the same history essay with the exception that there are no double brackets around the word of the given page; for example, "Portico" is placed in double brackets on the "veranda" page, but not on the "portico" page.

I cannot find "pavilion" used in the sense of "veranda" in Downing's treatise. He seems to equate pavilions with detached garden structures, such as temples and rustic seats. Here is what he says: <p></p>
